Painting the Nursery

I can't say enough good things about Kelly Moore Paints. We planned to partner together on this nursery project back at the start of the year before all this COVID madness but they did not let a little global pandemic get in the way of helping this gal's rainbow nursery dreams come true.

I can honestly say, I will never go with another paint brand after the experience I have had with Kelly Moore. When COVID hit, they went out of their way to make sure my paint needs were met while also keeping me safe. Everything was handled via email and phone, they helped me decided on sheen and type of paint, never leading me wrong. Paint was always ready when I arrived for pickup, and a friendly staff member never let me carry a can and loaded my car. From start to finish, I was so proud to work with them and truly cannot stand by this partnership with more excitement!

Now for the creative nitty gritty:

I knew I wanted to go with a fan-favorite "Swiss Coffee" for the walls. This was a little tricky because this room was a deep shade of moss green prior to this makeover, so it took my husband 4 coats to get an even flawless coverage. But man, was it worth it. This room gets the least amount of sunlight, so the switch to a bright white has made a world of difference.

Next was the dresser/ changing table. Again, I knew confidently that I would incorporate Kelly Moore's 2020 color of the year "Sun God" in this space, so the shade of yellow was an easy choice.

The last piece of the puzzle was the hardest by far, both creatively and in execution. My rainbow book ledges. My brother-in-law built the shelves following At Home With Ashley's tutorial in a single afternoon and spent only $50 for all 5 shelves. The hard part was choosing the perfect pallet and then painting the shelves. Who knew picking colors of the rainbow would be so hard? Kelly Moore has such a great and wide selection! Luckily, our light fixture (from Sazerac Stitches, more on that soon!) had already arrived so we were able to use it as a reference for our color choices to make sure the pallet was cohesive in this space. Here are our selections:

Now for an epic before and after, same wall, TOTALLY TRANSFORMED!

Thank you so much Kelly Moore Paints for a wonderful experience and a beautiful reveal.
